Hey everyone!

We are having our super fun event, Diver of the year on Saturday July 17th from 12-6pm at the Shed/ UQ pool

In this event, it is your chance to show your skills in diving related activity and show you are the best, get your name on the only UniDive trophy. Follow the steps of other great members e.g.  Jenny, McCane, Mike, Nina, Ben, Lock, Andrew. .....etc etc

Christmas in July

Prizes for diver of the year will be presented at the Christmas in July event straight after the pool activities.

Any member is welcome regardless of your diving certification level or currency.

Bring fam. and friends to assist with the scoring of the different components.

How to get diver of the year?

During the event you can gain points, the highest points will be diver of the year.

•  two categories
  • less than 30 dives and/or open water diver
  • the remaining group
• Gain points by participating in 10-12 carefully developed diving related activities (e.g. dive table, cpr, ID skills, rugby, boating, mask clearing, etc, etc)
• Gain handicap points for your experience, knowledge and courses

All points will be entered in a carefully developed password protected and encrypted spreadsheet, used in previous diver of the year events.

What if you win diver of the year?

• Name engraved on the Diver Of The Year Trophy (e.g. currently on display in the gear shed)
• Golden snorkel or mask
• Prizes
• Invited to present at international events, guest speaker on luxury cruise ships, personal fan club, sponsoring opportunities with victoria secret and dive rite, and feature article Time Magazine.
• Able to put in your email signature the title of Diver Of The Year.
• Other divers addressing you as "Your Legendary DOTY" following in the foot step of Jenny, McCane, Mike, Nina, Ben, Lock, Andrew........and many others

What to bring?

• Fins mask, snorkel (there will be snorkels for rent)
• Swimmers
• C-card
• fun mood
• Possible food to share but wait further instructions of social officer, Devin.
