Hey everyone!

Here is your chance if you got lust for rust!

I (Mel) am planning a dive to the HMAS Brisbane on the 9th of January,  weather depending.

This is an EXP trip and not suitable for Open Water divers, sorry!

Costs are $171 plus carpooling (~$10-15) including two tanks (Air or Nitrox), excluding gear hire.

(if you need gear, please check out our loans webpage https://www.unidive.org/diving/loans/)

Options are a double dive or one long dive (dive plan must be submitted to me 7 days in advance).

We have 12 spots available & 1 guide and according to the government, we can only take fully vaccinated divers.

Because the HMAS Brisbane is a marine park, further conditions apply, so please read the waiver carefully!

While we fill the trip on a first come, first served basis, we will need to take above into account and fill the trip accordingly.

Due to that, I'll invoice everyone for the dive separately to avoid back and forth money transfers. Once you get your invoice, please transfer asap to secure your spot. We'll sort carpool money on the day.

To iron out the details, we will meet the Thursday night beforehand at 6:15pm at the shed.

Come along if you're keen :-)

Each diver must:

  • Be a current Unidive member, medically fit to dive, who passed the swimming test
  • Have an advanced open water certfications
  • Have done at least 30 dives
  • Have dived in the last 6 months or in accordance with the Covid new regulations with respect to your accreditation
  • Dive with an SMB/safety sausage, cutting device and whistle. Note: These items are NOT supplied. Safety sausage and shears can be purchased from Unidive.
  • Bring their own mask, snorkel, and fins as Unidive does not hire them.
  • Dive within their certification and capability.
  • Follow instructions given by the boat handler, the dive supervisor, and the COVID safety delegate.
  • Observe COVID safety precautions as per Unidive's COVID safety policy
  • Agree that contact details of participants will be provided to Qld Health upon request for the purpose of contact tracing.
  • Help out throughout the whole day.

If you have any questions about the trip, please email dive@unidive.org.
