Event information
This event is sold out.
If you haven't dived in a while, perhaps you should sign up for a refresher workshop.
We will start with reviewing a bit of theory before gearing up and jumping in the pool to practice some skills practice. This is not a "course" and will not provide you with a certificate from any particular agency (this is not a PADI Re-Activate course), it's a workshop and we do it our own way depending on who's leading it. We strongly recommend that you back it up with an easy Club dive afterwards.
The cost is $40.01 which includes pool entry and use of club BC, regulators and a cylinder of air. You will need to bring your own fins, mask, snorkel and swimmers. A wetsuit isn't really necessary as the pool is heated, but if you get cold easily and can put one on quickly then bring yours or hire one for free on the night.
Juniors: if your parent/guardian isn't participating too, they will still need to stay the whole time and watch.
Fees to be paid at time of registration to secure your spot
If you are borrowing club BC, regulator or wetsuit make sure you arrive at 5:15pm.
When you fill your registration form, please read the event waiver with the terms and conditions including refund conditions. They are important. This is where you'll find the links to the paperwork and Knowledge Review to download and complete prior to the workshop.
PAPERWORK
Please answer the medical questionnaire (see link in waiver when you register). If you answer 'Yes' to some questions, you will not be able to participate without a medical clearance. Do this straight away, because if you need a medical it can take time to find a doctor who is available.
KNOWLEDGE REVIEW
Download the Knowledge Review (see link in waiver when you register), have a go at answering the questions and then check your answers. Bring these along with you and note any problems you had - we will have a quick chat before getting in the water, but you are expected to have done your homework. There will be no time to do it on the night of the workshop as the primary aim of the workshop is to get you comfortable with your gear and being in the water.
NO PAPERWORK/KNOWLEDGE REVIEW --> NO WORKSHOP PARTICIPATION!
