Hi Everyone,
we're planning a Dive/Camping weekend at Hervey Bay!
Come join us for an adventurous weekend down in Hervey Bay where we'll explore the local sites and hopefully see some amazing creatures!
We'll be carpooling to the campsite in Hervey Bay on Friday at a time that suits the people in each car (we'll organise this on a Thurdays night at the Shed before the event) and set up camp to have a good nights rest before our double dive the next morning. The dive shop is nearby where we'll head in the morning after breakky to go out on the boat to explore the dive sites. When we get back (possibly around midday) we'll have lunch and presumably a rest before either exploring the town or playing some games at the campsite. Then we can sleep in the next day and explore Hervey Bay's beautifu beaches/town, whatever peope would like to do before heading back to Brissy in the arvo.
Cost is $140 for the double dive, approx. $60 for the two nights camping, plus the cost of food and fuel shared by everyone.
What you need to bring:
-camping gear for yourself (tent, mat, sleeping bag, toiletries, a torch can be handy)
-diving gear except for tanks and weights which the shop provides (hire your BCD/regs/wetsuit from unidive if you need any)
-swimmers and towel
-water bottle, sunscreen, and hat
We'll also decide who will do the shopping for the shared meals on the trip, and everyone can help with prepping the meals at the campsite. On Friday night everyone can organise their own dinner and from Saturday morning we'll have breakkie, lunch, and dinner together, with a barbie by the beach on Sunday if it works out:)
Hope to see you there!
