Hey everyone!

This is a day trip for the Mooloolaba Ecological Assessment and Mapping (MEAM) project. The objective of the day will be to conduct two survey dives in the area.

There are 10 spots on the boat, but we will advertise for up to 20 spots, and then select accordingly to ensure safe and successful completion of all MEAM related tasks. Please note, even if you are not Reef Check Australia (RCA) trained you can still participate (e.g. CoralWatch, photogrammetry, transect tape tasks). This will be a long day, we expect to meet at the shed around 5.30-6am, pack the boat, drive to Mooloolaba, conduct two dives, drop tanks off for fills, drive back to the shed, clean up the boat and put everything away, perhaps finishing around 5.30-6.30pm. Please note there is no food sharing, and there will be someone in charge on the trip to ensure our COVID safety policy is adhered to.

Lastly, there will be a pre trip meeting. The trip organiser will decide whether to meet at the shed or do a Zoom meeting the Thursday beforehand.
