Continuing your education by taking the Advanced Course will improve your diving skills. You will complete 5 adventure dives with an instructor. On each of these dives, we will further develop each of those “specialty skills” so you become a better, safer, and more comfortable diver.
The advanced course will prepare you to safely and confidently dive at night, find your way underwater, perfect your buoyancy, plan your dive and dive your plan at multiple levels using a dive computer and to dive down to depths of 30 metres!
Adventure Dives:
- Peak Performance Buoyancy
- Underwater Navigation
- Night
- Deep
- Wreck
- + learn to use a DSMB (Delayed Surface Marker Buoy)
The course layout is as follows:
- ONLINE TRAINING (5-10 hours before course): start your independent online training at home through the world class PADI eLearning system.
- ORIENTATION + THEORY WORKSHOP @ Unidive Shed (21 August- 5:30pm to late): meet your instructor and fellow students, review your online training, and discuss course logistics and details. We will focus on the theory and dryland training for the upcoming Peak Performance Buoyancy and Underwater Navigation dives.
- SHORE DIVES @ Tweed Heads NSW (23rd August- 5 am to approx. 2pm): perfect your finning, buoyancy and trim during the Peak Performance Buoyancy adventure dive and increase your compass and natural navigation skills during the Underwater Navigation dive.
- DIVE PRE-BRIEFING + THEORY WORKSHOP @ Unidive Shed (28th August- 5:30pm to late): prepare for the weekend’s dives, go through some more theory and any last-minute questions. We will focus on the theory for the upcoming Deep and Wreck dives.
- BOAT DIVES @ Sunshine Coast (31st August—full day): Join us and Sunreef Dive Centre to explore the exHMAS Brisbane, a shipwreck 28m off the Mooloolaba coast.
