Welcome Dive - Semester 1 2020.

This dive celebrates the start of the first semester of 2020. We intend to do a shore dive at the Tweed, weather permitting the exact location/dive site. Gear hire is available from the loans team the Thursday before the weekend (gear hire is your own responsibility - check out the website for details and remember to bring CASH). If you haven't dived in a while, please join one of the refreshers organised by the club before the shore dive.

There will be a compulsory meeting on Thursday 12th March for all divers. The cost is approximately $30 per person including transport, tanks & weights, and a BBQ lunch.  This will be collected at the Thursday meeting, so please bring cash.

Volunteer positions for the weekend include the following (but not limited to):

1. Drivers to car-pool, leaving & returning to/from the dive shed. 
2. People to carry tanks in and out of the trailer at the shop (at the river and the shed, everyone will carry their own tanks!)
3. People to assist with surface watch - please indicate in your registration if you're happy to not dive to assist with surface watch and whether you have current O2 provider training
4. Experienced divers who know the site to accompany our less experienced buddies and help them spot cool critters
5. People to help purchase & prepare food for a BBQ lunch.
6. Someone to write a Trip Report.

We will enter the water just after the high tide mark which is at is 12:48 pm. Meeting time at the shed is yet to be confirmed, but probably about 8 am. Don't expect to be home before dinner time... though it'll probably be late afternoon.
