Event information
Registrations for this event are closed.
If you haven't dived in a while or just can't quite remember what "RNT" means, perhaps you should sign up for a refresher workshop.
We will start with reviewing a bit of theory the week before on Zoom (6:30pm 13th August), then on the 20th you'll practice gearing up and jump in the pool to practice some skills (strictly 7-8pm). You must participate in the theory chat, so make sure you'll be available for both timeslots!
The cost is $40.01 which includes pool entry and use of club BC, regulators and a cylinder of air. You will need to bring your own fins, mask, snorkel and swimmers.
Fees to be paid at time of registration to secure your spot
If you are borrowing club BC or regulator for the first time you will need to put down a refundable $65 deposit (to be paid in cash) with the loans team before you remove gear from the shed. Make sure you arrive at 5:30pm. There will be a lot of people trying to borrow gear on this day. Better yet, get your deposit sorted out the week before. See the Gear Hire page for more information: https://www.unidive.org/diving/loans/
You must have already passed the swim test to be able to sign up for this workshop. You'll also have to follow the covid-safe guidelines.
Please read the event waiver with the terms and conditions. They are important! They consider things like under what circumstances you can get a refund... not many!
Please answer the medical questionnaire (see link in waiver). If you need to answer 'Yes', you will not be able to participate without a medical clearance, so please do it ASAP in case you need to make a doctor's appointment. It is recommended that you get a medical before participating in any scuba activities.
Download the attached knowledge review (see link in waiver), have a go at answering the questions and then check your answers. Have these with you for the zoom meeting and note any problems you had so we can help you out. The primary aim of the workshop is to get you comfortable with your gear and being in the water, rather than to spend ages going through theory you can read on your own ;)
NO PAPERWORK --> NO WORKSHOP PARTICIPATION! The links to the paperwork are in the event waiver... so...
Please read the event waiver! ;)
