Shore Dive - Gold Coast Seaway - OW - Nicole / Mel

Event information

This event is full.

Hey everyone!

We are organising a shore dive at the Gold Coast Seaway on the 28th of April. This is open to Open Water divers and above

Everyone is welcome, but we would very much like experienced divers to come along to buddy up with divers who haven't dived at this site before.

High tide is at 10.45am Qld time, so it should be a relatively relaxed day out :-)

Costs will consist of and include carpooling, tanks and weights  - so we're estimating ~$30-40.

To make it even more social, we are planning on having lunch together (at own costs) after the dive while tanks are filled :)

If you need to hire any gear, you will need to arrange at 6.15pm on the Thursday night before. Please check our loans webpage for T&Cs https://www.unidive.org/diving/loans.

As we need to transport gear and tanks, we'll give priority to people with bigger cars for carpooling (so please comment what car you have when you sign up).

For all who are keen, we will meet the Thursday night beforehand at 6:15pm at the shed for a pre-dive brief.

Please sign up to let us know how many people are coming!

Each diver must:

  • Be a current Unidive member, medically fit to dive, who passed the swimming test
  • Have an Open Water certification
  • Have dived in the past 6 months (or the Dive Supervisor has agreed to individual circumstances)
  • Dive with an SMB/safety sausage, cutting device and whistle. Note: These items are NOT supplied. Safety sausage and shears can be purchased from Unidive
  • Bring their own mask, snorkel, and fins as Unidive does not hire them
  • Dive within their certification and capability
  • Follow instructions given by the trip organiser and the dive supervisors
  • Be able to attend a trip meeting on the Thursday beforehand at the shed

If you have any questions about the trip, please email dive@unidive.org
