FINNING WORKSHOP
This workshop gives divers the chance to practice advanced finning techniques—frog kick, helicopter kick, and back kick—with guidance from experienced volunteers.
The frog kick, along with the back and helicopter kicks, is the natural next step for divers who are already comfortable in the water. These techniques offer major advantages over the flutter kick:
-
Energy-efficient: Cover more distance with less effort, conserving air and extending dive time.
-
Environmentally friendly: Minimize disturbance to silt and fragile marine life, helping preserve visibility and the underwater ecosystem.
-
Better control: Maintain a horizontal trim, allowing for precise maneuvering in confined spaces such as caves, wrecks, and during photography or research.
By mastering these kicks, you’ll build efficiency, control, and confidence in your diving.
WHO IS THIS FOR?
This workshop is best suited for divers who already have a solid foundation in: Buoyancy control, Trim and Body positioning.
These fundamentals are essential before progressing to advanced kicks. That said, there’s always room for improvement! Many divers will find this workshop highlights areas to refine—helping them work toward the ultimate feeling of being completely in control underwater.
