Double dive at Point Lookout, North Stradbroke Island. This trip will be for Experienced divers with at least 25 logged dives across at least 10 sites.
Manta Bommie is situated off North Stradbroke Island, and is a collection of rocky outcrops surrounded by a rugged rocky reef in depths from 3m to 15m. This rocky reef is riddled with ledges and home to a good variety of invertebrate species, such as octopus, crayfish, nudibranchs, shrimps, cowries and crabs. All throughout the year excellent fish life can be found here, including numerous large Bull Rays, Eagle Rays, Shovelnose Rays (Guitar Sharks), Wobbegong Sharks, as well as Leopard Sharks and Manta Rays during the summer months. As with many of our sites, turtles are frequently seen here.
Flat Rock offers some incredible underwater landscapes, including sites like Turtle Cave and Shark Alley. Flat Rock is a stunning dive destination year-round with a lot of marine life, including eagle rays, turtles, groupers, large schools of tropical and sub-tropical fish, and nudibranchs. However, winter is the perfect time to encounter the majestic grey nurse sharks as they gather in these waters. And if we’re lucky, we might even spot a few humpback whales on our way out!
