Join the UQ Underwater Club for a free screening of Hidden Treasure: Magnetic Island, a short film celebrating the unique and often-overlooked inshore reefs of the Great Barrier Reef.

The film accompanies A Field Guide to the Marine Life of Magnetic Island, Great Barrier Reef by Lawrence Scheele, the first book of its kind dedicated to the inshore Great Barrier Reef. Together, the book and film showcase the incredible marine life, habitats, and challenges facing our coastal reef systems.

The event will include a Welcome and Acknowledgement of Country, a 26-minute film screening, a short talk about the film and book, a Q&A session, and an opportunity to purchase the book, have it signed, and chat informally after the event.
